On the mushroom building, you will find the word “Arzt”. This translates in German to mean “Doctor”. He is obviously the doctor to the bug population. He kneels down to treat the bee and the snail. How cute is that? Outside the building, you will find another mushroom. I love the details like the hearts on the window shutters. There is even a tree in the backdrop. And check out the smoke coming from the chimney. This beautiful wallhanging is hand embroidered with yarn. The hanging itself is wool. I love that this piece is lined. The only flaws that I can find are 2 places on the lining on the back of the wallhanging. They were created when labels were removed from the piece in the past. This piece has 5 loops at the top to insert a rod for hanging. I love the details of the loops. The loops were crocheted in a variety of colors. In fact there is some trim at the bottom of the piece which is identical to the loops. This piece is loving, warm, and just so charming. The loops are 2 long. The piece measures 24 1/2″ by 16 1/2″ (without loops). The colors are vibrant. The scene is heartwarming. What could you not love about this piece?
