The commissioner of the work was unknown, however these works show the strong influence of Italian art on the European art scene. Here we see a gorgeous forest scene filled with luscious foliage, and nobility on horseback in their crimson, orange and blue attire, with their hounds among the plants in the foreground. The overall richness of this piece is reflected in the strong colors and the cohesive palette of browns, autumnal orange and greens.
